The release of the much-anticipated Wildsama Metaverse update is here and owners of a Wildsama Lion NFT can meet their beloved cub face to face in the Pondsama Metaverse. 

Last year, the collection was released in partnership with Sovereign Nature Initiative to raise funds for the Kenya Wildlife Trust with the aim of turning Moonsama’s online gaming community into real-world biodiversity advocates. The collection sold out instantly and raised $100.000, which has since then been put to good use. 

What’s so unique about the Wildsama Lions collection is their link to the 400 real life lions roaming the Masai Mara plains in Africa. Soon, players will find out who their companion really is, it could very well be the famous Scarface or one of the other legendary names, as seen on “The Rise and Fall of the Marsh Pride” documentary shown on BBC or one of the other famous lions from the Big Cat Diary series. 

But…before players get to know just who their companion is, they have to get familiar with their pet and earn their loyalty and companionship through gamification in the Pondsama Metaverse!

If you don’t own a Wildsama NFT you can still join in on the fun. Explore the Metaverse and interact with the lions and even help other people raise their lions.

The Wildsama lion NFTs are available exclusively on Raresama Marketplace. All secondary fees continue to contribute to the great work of the KWT. 

How to start your journey 

1. First, start with bridging your lion into the Moonsama Multiverse Portal. Make sure you connect with the wallet that holds your lion cub NFT(s).
2. Join the Pondsama Metaverse and fish up some grub for your cub (stand next to the water and click once to start the minigame). 
   It takes 25 fish (which takes around 5 minutes) to successfully feed your cub for the day.
3. Once you have caught enough fish (lake salmon), get ready to go on safari by clicking the safari icon on the left hand side of the menu.
4. Once you have clicked on the Safari icon, select an area of your choice for it to inhabit. You can then drag and dop them from your collection drawer. The little chest before a cub’s name indicates it’s yours.
5. Once reunited with your cub, it’s time for some quality time together.
   After feeding your cub 25 fish a day for 7-21 days, it will be satisfied and evolve into its full grown counterpart lion or lioness (unless your actual real-world lion is still a cub! In that case it will transition at the appropriate age). The number of days it takes is random per cub.
   Extra fish you catch in the Metaverse can be carried over to the next day.
